About
Zwergenweg in Homer, Alaska
Many years ago, our family spent some time in Switzerland, where we visited the lovely mountain town of Klosters. Our friends brought us to a sweet place called a "Zwergenweg", which means "Dwarf Walk". Along the path, there were dwarves and gnomes of all kinds; clearly painted by a community, some were very simple and others very ornately carved and painted. The dwarves could be found in tiny houses, tucked in the tree roots or swinging on swings in the trees. Additionally, there were rainbow painted wooden bridges, rope swings, simple games, and ball runs for kids and adults to explore. It was absolutely magical and we were enchanted.

Ever since that trip, we have wanted to create our own version. Please enjoy exploring Zwergenweg Homer.

Treasure Hunt
Can you find all of these things along the trail?
We have placed over 40 dwarves along the path. How many can you find? There are also painted rocks, signs, and other surprises. See how many you can spot. Download and print our "Treasure Hunt"list for your search (bring a clipboard and pencil)!

Please leave the dwarves, painted rocks, and other objects on the trail for everyone to find. If you would like to add a dwarf or painted rock to the Zwergenweg, feel free! Take a photo and let us know and we can add it to the Treasure Hunt.
